Write to Congress. Wrote to Sen. Thune (Majority leader, using the term loosely)
Sen. Thune,
Who the hell is calling the shots? Pres Trump, Stephen Miller, Kristi Nome? Who ordered the military exercise that ran roughshod through MacArthur Park in Los Angeles on Sunday? There was no protest. There was no riot. There were only children playing!! This was done entirely to generate fear and intimidation. Whoever ordered that action needs to be called before Congress for hearings and be fired! There is no reason for the National Guard and the Marines to still be in Los Angeles – well there never was a legitimate reason for them to be there to begin with.
You too can write or call Congress and demand accountability!
I'm a older white woman and I just love listening to you and hearing the ideas you and your guests put forth in these most difficult times. We have to get rid of the horrid and cruel 34xfelon.
So inspired by Mayor Bass and Reverend Shavon Arline-Bradley! Your courage hope and faith are contagious . I feel renewed and ready to carry on fighting back against the hate and helping bring about and support love abundance equity and kindness in all the ways I can. The gifts I’m given are many and to share . Amen! ❤️
The news reported by Mayor Bass is so horrifying - only hope to be found here is that Mayor Bass is the fighter we would want to stand in for us as we prepare for these fights to be taken across the country.
Enjoyed hearing L.A. Mayor Bass and her description of the problems being caused by ICE and other groups to frighten and disrupt people. Missed Arline-Bradley other than the beginning. Thank you, April, for sharing with us.

Dress up. Show up. Lean in. Resilience. Praise the Lord and keep moving forward. Words that so help and activate me during these times. Thank you.

This was inspiring, uplifting, energising.... Keep it coming, April and your amazing guests - especially black women!!
Fear of the known! Love it!
Inspiring statistics about the growth and influence of black college educated women.

An 9 year old talking to Mayor Bass about ICE. Saying he is worried whether his parents will be there when he gets home.
Thank you for your courage, humor and truth telling. It is in our stories that we heal, hear and howl for our communities.
