That was a great interview of Senator Schiff. Your questions were spot on. I am in awe of your talents as an interviewer, Olivia! You are a bright spot in the Universe and it gives me hope for the future to see such a a poised and confident young woman boldly leading us forward. (Plus I have a daughter named Olivia who lives in TX now, so it is nice to see another Olivia doing great things!)
Interview was good. Unlike others though, I thought Schiff sounded mealy mouthed. Everything 47 has done so far is a 5 alarm fire. Schiff’s staid and measured response is a form of normalizing the fascism that’s breaking all around us.
Good interview. I do wonder how Rubio will work out. Either he caves to Trump as so many seem willing to do or he keeps his dignity and says no. If he mans up how long is his shelf life?
Thank you for your program and sharing the important interview with Sentator Adam Schiff. I appreciate the reminder to choose the right focal points. This was uplifting!
Excellent interview with Sen. Schiff. Please continue these interviews. Being able to see a person’s face while they are talking is an important part of communication. For those who would rather read what a person has said they can simply touch the transcript bottom under the interview window. But just as talking face to face with a person provides more insight into their meaning than does reading an email being able to see them answer questions improves communication. Both good writing and good interviews are important. Great work to all.
Proud to support The Contrarian! I think many of these Republicans in both the House and the Senate are spineless. They are afraid to not confirm Trump’s nominees for many of these department secretaries. I wonder how many more nominees Collins, Murkowski, and McConnell will be willing to reject?
Well done, Olivia. I have always loved Adam Schiff for his unique and articulate take on things. We can't focus on all the "crazy squirrels" running out of the White House. Perfect!!!!
I am proud of our junior Senator from California, who replaced Dianne Feinstein and who proved himself during and following the last Trump administration on the impeachment and January 6th committees.
However, I don’t know about our “senior” Senator, Alex Padilla, who replaced Kamala Harris when she became Vice President. Fellow Californians, does he do anything? As long as I have been an adult, I have written my concerns to our Senators (going back to the disgraced John Tunney), and have always received a response from my Senator Except Alex Padilla. I have written to him twice and have never heard back. I noticed in the Contrarian post about the approval of the Treasury Secretary nominee, that Padilla did not vote. What is he doing?
Thank you Olivia for this interview- we need calm strength and insightful questioning now- not frantic hyperbole that only leads to outrage fatigue. Keep hitting the mark and I will keep sharing your work!
I absolutely agree with Senator Schiff that we must pick our fights. The cloud of chaff Trump throws up is meant to distract and divide efforts. Picking fights with our border states and buying Greenland are smokescreens for a more dangerous agenda and we are not even privy to all the information. We require our Senators and Congress men and women- who are privy to that info- to HELP US to focus on the real issues and to themselves be united in the same behind doors in Washington.
Great interview, Olivia! I'm so glad that you are a member of The Contrarian that is keeping us informed of all of the misconduct of the administration and what elected Democrats are doing to pushback.

Great interview! Insightful questions and meaningful answer. Thank you Olivia and Senator Schiff.
Amazing work, Olivia!

What are you doing NOW Senator Schiff. This is an all hands on deck
moment and you’re not rising to the challenge. I’m sorely disappointed.
