The judge also bridled that OPM's acting director, Charles Ezell, and his senior adviser, Noah Peters, did not attend the hearing.

States sue Trump administration over mass firings of federal employees. https://www.npr.org/2025/03/13/nx-s1-5325959/federal-employees-court-firing

"You will not bring the people in here to be cross-examined. You're afraid to do so because you know cross-examination would reveal the truth," Alsup said, addressing OPM's legal team. "I tend to doubt that you're telling me the truth."

How about a Rule 11 hearing?

And how about some Bar complaints with possible disbarment? These lawyers are in many cases acting unethically and it's no defense to say they were doing their clients' bidding. The might want to remember what happened to a bunch of the J6 lawyers.

The Trump world is one in which there are no negative consequences for bad behavior; what one can get away with defines good behavior to Trump and his co-sociopaths. That makes it more imperative for the ethical world to pursue disbarment, etc. of attorneys who participate in Trump’s attempts to dismantle the rule of law.

From that NPR story:

>>>"A single judge is attempting to unconstitutionally seize the power of hiring and firing from the Executive Branch," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.<<<

Leavitt is SUCH a tool. How does a young, reasonably intelligent person become so jaded, so drunk on the Trump kool-aid, so willing to utterly and snidely lie and obfuscate? We've seen this over and over with DT's people. I can understand it from the low-information cult members out there in MAGAworld; even the low-information MAGA members of Congress who got elected only because of the same type of constituents (looking at you... Comer, Tuberville, Gosar, Boebert, etc). But from the professional, educated, white-collar staff? Pam Bondi... another perfect example. Whip-smart, sharp attorney, gone to the dark side.

Kerosene Leavitt should be made to repeat eights grade Civics until she can pass it. Also be forced to read the United States Constitution. She is so brainwashed she does not understand any of this. She only understands what she is told by the Felon in Chief.

I think it must have something to do with a deep seated lack of self respect. In women this is often a result of poor family relationships- Punitive denigrating parents, emphasis on 'looks' sexual fears etc. One can see how easily and meanly she dismisses questions or questioners she doesnt like- It looks like second nature- her parents did the same to her.

I very strongly disagree with your general statement about women! There have been and will continue to be many, many women who do good things. These women have had to work hard overcome this stupid sterograph image of women propageted by ignorant males! Unfortuneately Kerosene Leavitt just says and agrees with whatever she's told. That has to be attributed to the fact that she is one of the many brain-washed followers of the Chief Felon! As far as I see it, there is no other reason for what she says! Remember, even highly educated individuals can beome brain-washed regardless of sex -- I've seen this a lot with the followers of the Chief Felon, both male and female!

I agree with this statement about the morality and achievements of most women. I want to highlight Carol's comment about the brain-washed followers. I believe they are all part of the Trump Cult.

I'm not willing to be that charitable to her, i.e., give her an "excuse" for her behavior. I'm also very uncomfortable with the sweeping generalizations about women's behavior.

Dont mistake what I am saying for any kind of 'pass'. No charity or excuse- As far as I am concerned she is a repugnant example of any woman or any man who is involved in Trump's hellscape.. I am trying to understand how someone becomes " brainwashed " as the other commenter replied. I am not brainwashed and neither are you. Im not making any kind of general statement about women or men in the sense that it absolves them from anything. Im simply not sure how this "brainwashing" occurs and why. It is well known that people who are abused as children often go on to abuse others. Saying this certainly does not absolve the criminal, maybe we can figure out how best to get rid of them for good.

Can she be ordered into a classroom where she would write the Oath of Office on the blackboard 100 times; and then write a 1000-word essay on the importance and meaning of that oath?

Same thing by another name: gawd = greed.

Religion / superstition is nothing more than a tool to satisfy greed for power over others, greed for all the money in the world, greed for people to worship them.

gawd = greed: same diff.

The basic philosophical view is a combination of pragmatism and relativism--there is a subject-to-subject POWER relationship with an absence of truth to reach for in-between the two subjects.

Without a regard for truth by both parties, the whole relationship collapses into a power-for-power's sake zero-sum-game. I win; you lose. And to recognize statements as lies, one implies one at least can recognize truth. But if there is no truth, then no one can lie either, ON PRINCIPLE, and the person **with the most brute power** can do and say anything they want without responsibility to give a REASONABLE account--aka, no accountability. Why would someone go to court to be accountable if they have more power that the plaintiff or even the judge? What's the point of defending oneself if truth cannot mediate brute power?

That judge could see right through what Trump and company were doing--finally, someone who could see the USE of legitimate truths as MEANS to put forth what she could recognize as LIES openly parading as illegitimate wants by the most arrogant degenerates presently on earth.

Replying to my own comment with this PS.... This is a clip from a Salon article dealing with Trump as a "Tesla promoter" on the south lawn of the White House... This clip refers back to Leavitt, and again drives home the point about her unfitness to be Press Secretary (at least in a normal presidency):

*****

Trump’s people, including White House press secretary, or as I like to call her, Pep Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, told us Trump is on top of things and that corrections have to be made because the ship of state has been set adrift by the previous administration. Even if that were true, and it certainly is not, the question has to be, “Have you lost your f***ing mind?”

Tuesday the Pep Secretary said in her weekly briefing that tariffs are tax breaks for American consumers. Even Fox News didn’t buy that and Leavitt was left getting testy, angry and “insulted” when reporters questioned her knowledge of economics.
