She speaks from a point of view of having a lot of common sense! Good luck to her!

Glad to hear from such a candidate truly aware of how Trump's policies are affecting her state. My state's governor (TX) is pushing state money for private schools, no concern shown for how much the tariffs will affect the foods in our stores, etc. The best to Rep. Spanberger in her race for governor.

John Starr in VA/RVA. Good interview. Thanks Jen. .We urgently need her to be Governor. As bad as the draconian Trump?Musk cuts will be for VA, they are being amplified by the current Republican governor and lt. governor (who is also running against Spanberger). Also I know as a retired physician who practiced for 38 years in SW Virginia that the Medicaid cuts and education issues that she was talking about are mostly understated. Our healthcare and public health systems and medical training programs are actively being broken right now. Also she has important experiences to appreciate and manage the security and economic challenges that will affect VA now and over the Remainder of the TRump years.

Thanks to both Ruth and Abagail for bringing us all up to date on the daily atrocities that America is suffering at the hands of our elected President. We all are, daily, realizing the mistake we have all made last year. But, in my opinion, we are not dealing here with incompetence, stupidity or political greed.

The problem we have here must be seen and labeled for exactly what it is, an insurrection. Donald Trump must be seen for exactly what everyone sees him on the 10 o'clock news as, an autocratic Fascist. To paint him as just a president that is not in tune with the needs of the people or contrary to the fate of America, definitely and dangerously mischaracterizes him.

He is a Fascist.

He is using tried and true autocratic tools to accomplish his mission, to take over our country.

Misrepresenting him any other way is more of a threat to our country than he is, in my opinion.

Spanberger continues to impress. I contributed to her years ago and will certainly do so in this round. SInce Virginia limits the governor to one term, she might be ready for a presidential run fairly soon. Who says a moderate can't be exciting?

Having worked in public hospitals, I would pass through the waiting room, filled with patients, including young children. In peds, we noted that most appendicitis cases had ruptured by the time they were seen—after sitting miserably in pain for up to 24 hours! We cannot allow this to happen to Medicaid or Medicare. The human costs and social costs of complicated care was tragic and preventable.

I appreciate the focus on impacts of Trump’s crazy policies on rural areas. These areas have specific challenges and needs that Medicaid and the Department of Education assist them with. And they depend on agriculture for their livelihoods, so are being harmed by the tariff/taxes. We need to be concerned about the hits rural populations are taking, as Abigail Spanberger is. Thank you for the informative interview.

Jaw dropping on the crazy cycle of imposing tariffs that affect soybean growers, spending federal taxpayer dollars to support impacted soybean growers, causing soybean growers to lose market share so that federal taxpayer subsidies need to be continued.

I am so glad to be supporting Abigail Spanberger as the next Governor of Virginia. It looks as though she's drawn a pair of aces with the idiocy of the current "administration," but if will still be a tough fight.

BTW, she needed 10k petition signatures to get on the ballot; she got more than 38k, from across the Commonwealth.
