I'm so glad you had Ezra Levin on tonight from Indivisible and that he talked about the next large demonstration on July 17th! Just what I needed to hear. I'll be out there! There are so many of us who are infuriated, despondent, scared, angry and yet full of energy and wanting to continue in this fight and resistance. This democracy is so worth fighting for. Thank you Jen! Great interview.
It's a sobering time but we must move forward, together.
As upsetting and subservient as Murkowski was, for the reasons you articulated, the thing that galls me is that any ONE of those R Senators, ANY OF THEM, could have realized there isn't a hell of a lot of difference in the impacts to Alaskans from that bill compared to THEIR state. We lean and criticize Murkowski and Collins a lot (and I'm right there for it!) but often it's because they go on record trying to weigh their vote. What about the other R Senators--on any of this policy, or past policy for that matter. They're ALL culpable!
Lastly, just to plant a seed, patriot / comedian Cliff Cash (anti-MAGA, a little profane, but loud, proud and pretty funny) thinks we need to get five million people together in Washington DC. This guy has led and participated in several protests, organized several Fox News "takedowns" and plans to do the same with The Heritage Foundation. He has demanded to see and peacefully confront Republican elected officials at their offices. He is adamant about We The People pushing back on this Fascist movement and trump's authoritarian regime. As for getting those millions of people to DC, I think he may be right...
Good interview. Reminded me of an insightful comment someone else made years ago ... that if you want to know what a group/party/country values, look at their budget. Clearly the GOP values cruelty and oppression. Looking forward to Make Good Trouble day on July 17th!
Excellent exchange! I love the idea of holding the next demo on John Lewis’s Remembrance Day. Good trouble is what we need to waken the sleeping members of our society who voted for the promise to inflict pain and suffering on others, and now are shocked, shocked! to find severe personal consequences of their choice.

Great conversation! Thank you, Jen, for inviting Ezra. “Good trouble lives on!” See you on the 17th!
Yes to Mamdani! -- says this senior citizen. Once again after many decades - "The times they are a-changin!"
The important thing is what happens AFTER Dems retake the House—how they KEEP the House.
Thanks for this conversation, Jen and Ezra.

Ezra Levin for President!
Go Indivisible! Thanks to Ezra and Leah for their tireless work to save our democracy and fight for a more just country.
That was awesome! Thank you!
I read that the big rush is because ICE has completely blown through its budget already

All of these Republicans are invertebrates. Most of them anyway. Just let the orange slime throw a tantrum.
Yes, there was a clear agreement that Collins could vote no as long as Murkowski voted for!
