'Tabby, aspiring Bengal' was the 1st time I laughed today, thank you! She's gorgeous. Years ago, I had a tabby with aspirations just like Esther's. Before we even named him after bringing home that 3 month-old skinny kitten, he zoomed up a tall chair and hit a clear window with so much force that he broke a hind leg. Though we had 3 adult cats with zero broken bones between them, nothing like taking a kitten you've had less than 24 hrs to an emergency vet clinic on a Saturday. We had no records there & I felt we were judged as evil kitten abusing monsters. After gnawing off 2 casts in 6 hrs, he spent the next 3 weeks in a dog kennel, healing. We named him Taz after the Tasmanian Devil. He was a lovely, crazy tabby.
Meghan, thank you so much for sharing Esther with us. She is so adorable. I am owned by a gray tabby, Lacy. You know what they say: dogs have owners; cats have staff. Long live the feline!
Esther looks just like a cat (kitten then) I got so many decades ago after seeing Peter Pan on Broadway with Mary Martin flying magically through the air above the stage. I named my kitten Tiger Lily after the Indian princess I adored!
A dog looks into your mind....a cat looks into your soul. Both are wonderful. Just different. And how lucky we are if we are able to share our home with them. My children I cherish....and whelp my dogs and cats I cherish as well. How blessed I am. Hello Esther, your gorgeous gal....you gently wooed me with your eyes....and now I just want to snoof your tummy because I bet it is warm and smells ever so sweet :)

Cats are, by nature, Contrary. A lesson for us all in these dark days.

And a tummy waiting for a smooch and petting! Beautiful kitty!
I am a die hard "cat woman". They are my spirit comforters. Esther is a lovely lady. Lucky to own some writers. 💗💗💗💗
