Cutting Medicaid is bad. Cutting Medicare is super bad because many Americans have paid into it via payroll taxes. I am grateful that both of these exist but some folks forget that if you are drawing social security benefits due to a disability before you are 65 years of age then you are eligible for Medicare. Younger people who have undergone an organ transplant are automatically eligible for Medicare. Younger people who can still get Medicare even if you’re undergoing dialysis to treat kidney failure. Despite what they might say I believe there’s cuts to all 3 of these programs in some sort of an occult fashion. As I have said Republicans are reptiles.
"I don't want to be your damn conscience. I want you to vote your conscience." Please, Senator Warner, send this thought to every Senator. Perhaps each might recall having one. If not, send Jiminy Cricket :)
This despicable "the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and sicker" bill, more than changes what government does, it changes what government is. It has Project 25's stench all over it. And to sell it to the public, nothing but whopping lies "largest deficit reduction", "not cutting anything meaningful". At mid-terms, they may be wishing they hadn't chosen this hill to die on.
