From deploying his newly labelled Department of War to murder over 100 suspected drug smugglers, including survivors on the high seas, to invading a country to oust its ruler to capture their valuable oil fields, to threatening 8 of our closest allies with exorbitant tariff increases unless they agreed to get out of his way so he could seize ownership of Greenland, to sending armed troops to blue cities to supposedly quell protests but actually to incite violence to justify their oppressive military presence, to sending gangs of heavily armed masked Gestapo-type goons with fabricated warrants to forcibly enter homes to drag out suspected illegal immigrants and murdering protesters in the process, this has truly been an exceptional year.
What better way to congratulate himself than by inducing his friends and business acquaintances with deep pockets and lucrative present and/or prospective government contracts to contribute over $300 million to demolish the east wing of the White House to build a gold- encrusted ballroom to celebrate this historical accomplishment, which clearly puts George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, FDR and even Ronald Reagan to shame.
I'm sure that Trump will have the presence of mind to ensure that Epstein's name will not be mentioned during the festivities and that the tons of gold decorations in his ballroom will not clash with his newly gold-encrusted Oval Office to preserve the imperial theme of his presidency.
With all this self-promotional fanfare in the midst of a country being torn apart by a corrupt despot and megalomaniac, his thugs and his enablers, there is a line from Shakespeare's Macbeth that keeps coming back to me:
"Now does his title hang loose about him like a giant's robe upon a dwarfish thief"
And we've also noticed his little, bruised hands stealing our money, taking bribes, destroying anything that our government has done in the past trying to help everyday people, and forcing his warped vision of the world down our throats (most of us gag on this, but some folks lap it up).
America needs to take Miller down. He gets to hide in the shadows and he is a core part of this fascist regime. Get someone all over that guy and let's destroy him politically forever.
Take Russell Vought with him. As a creator of Project 2025, he is working as one of the puppetmasters behind the scenes to make sure it is being implemented.

Someone in the offices of my two U.S. Senators and my district House rep is getting tired of reading the missives I write them. I’m in Tennessee, so I doubt the politicians are seeing what I write. But I hope my notes add another brick to the wall and the stack of complaints is getting taller and taller, from not just me but thousands of others. I have challenged my representatives about their loyalty to our country and the Constitution and their judgement by following Trump off the cliff. Everyone knows he’s a demented old racist and grifter, but the Republicans are playing along. In my estimation, that makes them traitors. I’m going to keep making my voice heard, donating to politicians across the country in flippable races and marching in protests. If enough of us do that, WE WILL WIN our country back.
Chris, like you, I live in a blood-red state (Louisiana). Our current governor, Jeff Landry, is channeling both Napoleon Bonaparte AND Huey P. Long with his dictatorial consolidation of power on all levels of government. Oh, and let's not forget that while he is spreading his tentacles, he still has enough time on his hands to be the MAGAt envoy to Greenland. It is indeed fitting that his invitation to attend a March dog sled race in Greenland has been rescinded.
Also, like you, I will continue to attend No Kings rallies, write letters to the editor of our local newspaper, support news organizations such as The Contrarian, Public Notice, Jim Acosta and others, harass my 2 senators and the embarrassment that is my representative in the House and donate to those running for office who are committed to ending the current reign of terror.
The brave people of MSP show up day and night in spite of sub-zero temperatures, state-sponsored murder and illegal harassment. Their template in honor and patriotism is an inspiration to a weary nation looking for hope in the midst of so much depravity.

Similarly, I live in FloriDUH and write my senators daily (sometimes more than once, thanks to ResistBot) and call them and leave voicemails. It often feels useless, but we are seeing cracks in their stubborn sycophancy.
I don't know anything about ResistBot but I'll look into it. Anything we do for the cause of freedom is important whether it's leaving voicemails, calling, screaming at the top of our lungs or any other acts of defiance.

Letting people go after they have been detained at the Whipple building with no phone, no ID, and many times with no coats, hats, or gloves in subzero temperatures shows the intense cruelty of this regime. How it is not illegal to put them out in these conditions is beyond me.
As it becomes clearer than ever that Donald Trump is not mentally competent to hold his office, the cowards in the Republican Congress and the cowards among corporate CEOs are the ones keeping him in office and refusing to call out the truth and demanding action to remove this blight on our nation. We cannot overlook the disgusting removal of small Danish flags from the front of the US Embassy in Copenhagen. These flags honored the brave Danes who died fighting with us in Afghanistan. This is a national disgrace. Trump has no decency. Is this how the US wishes to be seen?
It's certainly how Trump wishes to be seen. But I'm surprised and shocked that the embassy personnel didn't have the common sense, let alone decency, to prevent this, or not do it (whichever was the case). Seems to me they just trashed their credibility with the Danes.

I am soooooooo proud of my husband today!!! Last night he wrote a note to his entire golf group, basically stating he didn't care what political party they belonged to or who they voted for but hoped they all are now offended and upset by what drumpf is doing to our country. He then attached Bruce Springstein's latest hit, "Streets of Minneapolis". He has already received several responses in support of our efforts to get rid of drumpf and his minions. It really DOES take a village.
We won't have to, if enough people VOTE VOTE VOTE in November. Taking back our country begins with taking back both houses of Congress. Fixes everything? No, but it's a vital first step.
I am wondering when J.D. will start listening to his spiritual leader, not his political one. And when he will realize that he is building a world that is less safe for his own children.
JD has no "Spiritual leader." He has PR. And, money will protect the most corrupt folks from ever facinig accountability. I hear there is support for honoring the residents of Minneapolis with the Nobel.
And if the Nobel Prize is awarded to the people of Minneapolis, it Will Not be then given to the most undeserving person on the face of the Earth.
