All of the facts in this commentary describe perfectly why the current regime wants to delete the Dept. of Education and most education in general. It would dumb down his already ignorant base and get him many more dumbed-down followers.

I hope some people wake up and realize what the orange corpuscle is doing is screwing everyone, not just the "libs"!

Trust me he does not care, only for himself and his base who he says loves him.

Yikes. According to that KFF poll, one in four Americans think vitamin A prevents measles, and almost one in five think the MMR vaccine is more dangerous than measles. There's a clear partisan split, with far more Republicans believing this nonsense (which didn't used to be true--antivaxxers used to be virtually split between far right and far left). It's a death cult.

I’ve read that there have been hospitalizations because people overdose on vit A. Vit A is not water soluble and doesn’t flush out of the system as some other vitamins do. But Kennedy doesn’t talk about that. And people don’t bother to read or maybe distrust the science community on this. Oh well, live and learn. Or not.

The lies coming from RFK Jr about vaccines and other things not only affects human health but it also affects animal health and wellbeing as well. We vaccinate animals against diseases to protect their health and safety from such diseases as anthrax. Cattle, goats, sheep, swine and horses are all vaccinated against anthrax. We also vaccinate our domestic pets for rabies. If he’s really that stupid about vaccines just let him get bit by a rabid skunk or his rabid dog or cat. Can’t believe the jackassery of the tRump cabinet.

The rich Dem donors have to start a nation wide advertising program explaining that it is the Republicans taking away Medicaid. No low income person should vote Republican again in their life.

I think of that commercial on Jesus that I see regularly. The Dems should do something like that funded by the rich Dem donors.

Explicit explanation that would help so many if only they would try to understand. And I cannot understand being against the sciences, including medical research that is so helpful for us. Or regulations to keep us safe--oh wait, that's due to the wealthy who don't see it as their responsibility to keep their products safe or made safely.

Adults have a choice [so far] in doing their own research and becoming educated. I'm not a fan of blaming a person or an agency or a government official for what I choose to confirm as truth. Listen, think, read, learn. And, in turn, educate others by providing sources and information. We have to take responsibility for what we believe, what we do.

For really educating yourself you need to be able to distinguish reliable from unreliable sources. The ‘do your own research crowd’ usually choose to view YouTube, TicTok and instagram influencers as more reliable than the science community.

I have respect for how people educate themselves. And it's not via "influencers".
