I'd give anything for a Biden administration right now.... On Biden's watch you could count on a lawful, caring, just government.

"I'm not sure Trump or anyone in his administration cares."

I am. I'm absolutely certain that there is not a single member of the Trump regime who gives a shit or a tinker's dam about anyone suffering from cancer; or about anyone with any other disease or critical or chronic illness; or about anyone anywhere under any circumstances who isn't a billionaire or aspiring billionaire for whom the reconciliation bill is being written.

Speaking of which: reconciliation, according to congressional rules, can be used only once in a congressional session and ONLY for the purpose of pushing through financial policy: taxes, spending, raising the debt limit, etc. When Joe Biden was president, the Parliamentarian of the House refused to allow his reconciliation bill because it contained "non-germane" policies.

This bill includes changes to the right of courts and judges to impose contempt orders; elimination of the (congressionally mandated) right of government employees to unionize and bargain for their pay and other rights; the "right" of the president to unilaterally change or ignore the laws of the United States . . .

So will the Parliamentarian disallow this bill? Or will she be paid off by the Thug party under threat of being fired if she tries to do so?

Is ANYONE in the media addressing this issue? Can you please do so?

The current regime welcomes suffering and the cruel death of those who are not them. May karma come on winged feet.

Some of these cancer drugs are used to treat advanced stage cancers such as CDK4/CDK6 inhibitors. These drugs are sold under the brand names such as Ibrance®️, Kisqali®️and Verzenio®️ These drugs are used to treat metastatic breast cancer. Even in patients who have already had a previous remission from cancer. This is strong evidence we can extend the lives of people who are or have been living with cancer. It is asinine as well as evil to eliminate funding for cancer research and new treatments. Ibrance was the first of these drugs to receive FDA approval in February 2015.

I am one of the fortunate few who was able to take Verzenio for a couple of years to reduce the chances of my breast cancer returning; the fact that I had the same cancer type three times made me eligible for prophylactic use. It is extremely expensive and I feel fortunate to be on Medicare to reduce the financial hit. My husband is on a new bi-specific antibody drug with his 6th line of treatment for high risk multiple myeloma and is now stable. We would both be goners without these new drugs and I am so distressed by the callousness of the T regime. And hypocrisy abounds, since a main architect of the demise is Russell Vought with his Project 2025 playbook, as his daughter has a rare disease that I believe has been treated with newer drugs, courtesy of NIH research. The goal is a sicker more compliant population.

Totally agree it’s callous and hypocritical. My mom took Ibrance for 4 years but she had so many other health issues that she was taken off of it but still survived another 2 more years. I am grateful we had an extra 6 years with her and that she was a patient of one of the best oncologists that I had previously known and worked with. They went out of their way for her to get access to that medication. Glad to hear your husband is stable with his MM. My uncle had MM and he was on an experimental medication that worked well for a while but then the disease relapsed and he passed away around 7-8 years after diagnosis. I hope there is some kind of development that will cause a reversal of the cuts made to NIH and all other medical research. I am so glad when people who need these medications can get them to have a decent quality of life while they are having to deal with cancer or any other catastrophic disease no matter who they are or ability to afford it.

I think it’s cruelty for its own sake.
