If the tide is turning it’s not soon enough. But, from what I see it’s just a little too politically correct. I’m not suggesting violence and criminal activity but something has to flip the switch and get people in the streets. Not just carrying signs but ready to revolt.

Since you mentioned Lech Walesa:

Lech Walesa, Polish Labor Leader Who Fought U.S.S.R.’s Power, Joins in Horrified Letter to Trump

As we protest the corporations who have cancelled their DEI policies, can you help us to know which companies we can support as an alternative? Of course the small local businesses in most cases, but are there larger companies who deserve some positive attention?

Unfortunately protests and discontent will not dislodge trump, musk, or the GOP from power. The days of politics in the US predicated on the Constitution and tradition are over. The days of Congress overseeing anything are numbered, the rubber stamp Court is already in place and there is no mechanism to stop ‘them’ now. The midterms will be laughable as trump will invent an emergency which will require him to suspend the writ of habeas corpus and divert all power to the WH as he suspends the Constitution. MAGAts will cheer because they they are in so deep they can’t afford to believe they are wrong and the rest of America will be forced to hunker down, earn a living and hope they stay out of the cross hairs of the new military state.

Are there 4 Republicans in the US senate who might get fed up and cross the aisle?

Apparently fear is a bigger motivator than their "concerns" or becoming "fed up" about Republican bills they see as damaging their constituents. A lot is made of the threat of Musk money for a primary race competitor. Apparently that is minor compared to the visceral fear GOP Reps have of having Trump openly name any rep as opposing something Trump supports, putting their personal safety at risk along with that of their family members (children!) once the more violent of the right-wing MAGAts spring to action, to appease the cult leader. When you cannot vote your conscience as a member of Congress due to fear of "retribution," that is a sad sign of descent into fascism.

SEE: “They’re Scared Shitless”: The Threat of Political Violence Informing Trump’s Grip on Congress. (With the president smashing norm after norm, even lawmakers within his party have feared for their personal safety, and at least one has told confidants that it has swayed his decision-making.) One example: According to one source with direct knowledge of the events, North Carolina senator Thom Tillis told people that the FBI warned him about “credible death threats” when he was considering voting against Pete Hegseth’s nomination for defense secretary. Tillis ultimately provided the crucial 50th vote to confirm the former Fox & Friends host to lead the Pentagon.

Could this plan to destroy MedicAid be a most cynical plot to "thin the herd" and thereby reduce the number of Social Security beneficiaries left alive to collect benefits enough that his Pet Boy El;on can then claim that he has saved Social Security?

Mid-terms? The way the Repubs are acting there will be no political repercussions for their raping and pillaging. Was our last real election 2024?
