Not only this, but they are CRITICIZING Indivisible and Move-on for urging voters to call their elected representatives. Apparently, we're tying up their precious phone lines! I'm sorry, but they work FOR US! It is time Democrats, including the newly elected head of the DNC (now, what was his name???🤔) take the floor of the House, the floor of the Senate, get in front of the Press, and attend community meetings with their constituents (like our Rep.) and fight this damn coup with every once of blood they've got!😡

Sensators Van Hollen and Alsobrooks, ASB, held a Town Hall last night with the head of Democracy Forward (filing law suits, 6 so far, "for the people")! It was Excellent. Steny Hoyer will be holding 1 tonight.

I was appalled when I heard that. I don’t live in their state. If I was I would be raising Kaine. Heard it in Majority Report. Sam Seder attempted to call both times his congressman in Brooklyn. Went to voice mail. He was great and sarcastic as a NYer is.

We Do Not have to take this sitting down. Call your Senators, call your Representative. Make waves. You'll feel better at least, and just maybe spur them into action. If you're in a Republican district, all the more reason to make waves.

I just sent emails to Schumer and Jeffries citing Pia's great cartoon. Every democracy loving citizen should do the same.

Mr. Schumer (Jeffries), I am sick and tired of your excuses and non-action as minority leader in the US Senate (House of Representatives). Just in the last week, I have read numerous suggestions by experts on actions that can be taken by you and your Democratic colleagues. The election was over three months ago, your shock should have worn off. The orange felon has been in office for three and one-half weeks and what do we hear from you? Absolutely nothing. You should be ashamed of yourself. You are no leader! Time for all of you to get off your lazy duffs and use these suggestions and McConnell's (Nancy Pelosi's) playbook, when he (she) was in your shoes, and GET TO WORK. See Pia Guerra's political cartoon in the Contrarian of 2/12/2025.. It is the most apt comment on your and Hakeem Jeffries' non-action. Joining a protest called by normal citizens in front of the Treasury is not ACTION! Get on with it!

Can you tell me how you were able to send Schumer and Jeffries the emails? I have found that I can't email anyone other than my state congress people because everyone's websites require me to be a constituent in order to email anything (other than Senator Collins' website). What I currently am doing is posting to congressional representatives' Facebook pages, if they have one. I'd love to know how you are getting through by email. Thank you for all you are doing, Arkansas Blue!

Susan, I use Firefox for my browser and DuckDuckGo for my search engine. For both Schumer and Jeffries I just type their name, go to their home sites and tap on "Contact." Schumer's site did not ask me whether I was a constituent. On Jeffries' site, tap on "Contact," then "email me", then scroll down just a little, you will see "send me a message," tap on it, et voila!

Chuck Schumer went on national TV and said, "We're not going after every single issue. We are picking the most important fights and lying down on the train tracks on those fights." Yeah, and getting run over by the trump train. Could he have possibly selected a worse metaphor? And his idiotic "We will win" chant is not going to convince any voters that Democrats are a better option. He had many years to learn how to function as the minority party, watching Mitch McConnell grind the Senate to a halt on numerous occasions. Schumer watched Tommy Tuberville, arguably the stupidest person ever elected to the Senate and a man who was unable to name the three branches of government when asked to do so, single-handedly hold up critical military promotions for months. Yet he and the rest of the Democratic "leadership" couldn't figure out a way to thwart or at least delay, the confirmation hearings for the most unqualified, unfit, and dishonest group of poltroons to ever be nominated to the cabinet? Has Schumer learned nothing in 25 years in the Senate? There is a real leadership void in the Democratic Party and it needs to be filled yesterday.

Also, can someone tell me what the Democrats were doing for the two-and-a-half months between the election and Mango Mussolini's inauguration? They still seem to lack any coherent strategy for dealing with trump's attack on democracy. Worse, they seem to lack a strategy for convincing Americans that they are a better option.

Amen brother - or sister - or whatever. You're right on target.

My Rep (Democrat) held a town meeting accessible by zoom and phone tonight. About 3500 people attended. Though I'm not in total agreement with everything he said, at least I felt heard. The past couple of weeks phones for Senators and Representatives have been ringing off the hooks. We voted for them to REPRESENT us, and the damn near better hear us now.
