I find it interesting that when the Biden Administration passed the Build Back Better Bill, NOT ONE Republican voted for the bill, but they were all HAPPY to take credit for how beneficial it was (some even acted as though they HAD voted for it). Fast forward to today and Trump’s BBB…choose whichever name you want (Big Beautiful Bill…Big Bullshit Bill…Ballistic Buffoon’s Bill)… almost every republican is voting for it but not one want to be attached to it, or honest about it at all. Biden’s Bill was constructive, helped people, and legal / constitutional; Trump’s Bill is destructive, hurts people, and flirts with being unconstitutional on more than one front. Democrats were honest about their bill; the GOP is lying about this one. Good vs evil; honesty vs deception; the story is as old and we know what to do…Keep fighting the good fight; there is no alternative; evil cannot win. Thank you both for fighting the good fight and being an inspiration for us all.
Jen and Raskin, you lifted my spirit today. This conversation needs to be heard by many ears. At times we feel we can't move forward from the Trump chaos. Here you are giving us hope.
Without a doubt, Jamie Raskin has to be the absolutely greatest, most empathetic and smartest congressperson ever. I wish there were many more like him. 💓
