The New York Times did a terrific video of the events of Jan. 6 that shows the violence and carnage and lays out how it all unfolded. It's available on Youtube (so no paywall). I encourage everyone to share it to rebut The Big Lie.

I found the prospect of vigilantism particularly terrifying. It's not just the mob that stormed the Capitol, it's all those people who hear the dictator's dog whistle and want to hurt others in the name of their false god.
Is it unrealistic to expect that once they notice how poor they are getting, despite his promise to immediately cure inflation, that some will finally wake up and see him for what he truly is: a huckster that snookered them all?
