I’m so pleased to see someone who wishes to share the importance of news based on fact . Truth has become disowned by these billionaire media owners. Who clearly have lost all integrity , assuming they had some before they joined the Liars club.

I just did. Their endorsement of most of Trump's cabinet was the final straw.

I saw that they endorsed Bondi. That should be enough for anyone with a brain in their head to cancel their subscription if they still have one. I canceled mine when they refused to endorse Harris, and my amazon prime subscription followed right after.

Sure buddy. Whatever gets you through the night. Bondi isn’t his worst pick, but she is associated with him via money. All it took was $25,000 from DJT to get her to stop investigating him. But tell me more about her history of law & order. I’ll wait.

Apparently we have a free press if media oligarchs get to publish whatever they're told is the price for the power they gained.

Expand full comment

Quite right.

The MSM today is only publishing pro-Trump stories. All anti-Trump stories have been eliminated.

When Biden and Obama were in charge, by contrast, they almost never published pro-Administration stories, but rather primarily stories that were critical of those administrations.

The problem is that WaPo and the rest of the MSM are now insufficiently anti-Trump.

great train of thought . . . thank you

Expand full comment

He already has! I hate to see the end of newspapers, though, especially because I was a Bezos defender due to the fact that he kept a “hands off” approach to the WP. 😖

Expand full comment

Margaret Sullivan always said that Bezos never interfered when she was at the WaPo but clearly that changed recently. What shocked and disturbed me is that Bezos hired Will Lewis from Murdoch land even though it was clear that Lewis had obstructed justice in the UK phone hacking case. The court had ordered all emails to be preserved but Lewis had millions of them destroyed anyway — then bizarrely tried to blame ex PM Gordon Brown:

“ First, Murdoch papers targeted me. Now there is evidence they falsely implicated me in a cover-up

Gordon Brown”

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/article/2024/jul/31/gordon-brown-tom-watson-news-international-william-lewis-rupert-murdoch

After he was hired Lewis tried to bribe NPR’s David Folkenflik with an interview in exchange for killing an article Folkenflik was planning to publish. He later pressured Executive Editor Sally Buzbee to kill similar stories in the WaPo’s. She refused and was soon gone from the WaPo.

That Bezos not only hired Lewis with that scandal in his background, but kept him on after his unethical attempts at covering up his own wrongdoing was a sign that the WaPo was doomed. Even though most of the media has chosen to ignore this shocking story, Lewis’s law breaking is likely to become a big story soon as Prince Harry’s lawsuit against Murdoch’s organization goes to court.

It's important to keep in mind that a lot of the Post's integrity was due to the stewardship of former executive editor Marty Baron -- whom Bezos inherited from the Grahams.

"The GOP, as usual, was better at muddying the truth with a barrage of lies."

During Biden's term in office:

It wasn't the GOP that said Joe Biden was "sharp as a tack."

It wasn't the GOP that said inflation wasn't going to happen or that it was transitory.

It wasn't the GOP that said Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation.

It wasn't the GOP that said the border was secure.

"They have demonized moderates and the left with such success dor more than half a century that it's difficult to get through the murkiest of swamps."

And the Democrats have been paragons of virtue and truth? Oh, please, spare me. It's been a non-stop assault on Trump since 2015, with plenty of help from a very complicit media. I'm still waiting for Adam Schiff's "ample evidence" proving Russian collusion from the 2016 election.

You made Jennifer Rubin into a liberal -- if by liberal you mean rational human being who opposes trump.

If Twitter is crashing, you voted for the guy who's crashing it. If Facebook is crashing, it's because they stifle liberal content more than conservatives whack jobbery.

Progressive Liberalism is filled with everything you claim to be against. You claim to be a "feminist", yet stand for men who pretend to be women as they steal the hard work, dreams & "firsts" (glass ceiling moments) from women/girls from sports to jobs. You claim not to be racist, yet giving anyone a job, segregated spaces (i.e. separate graduations), irrelevant of your intentions is the very definition of racism. You claim to protect children, but support the mutilation in barbaric surgeries by calling it "gender affirmation". You claim to be pro-choice, yet have not issue forcing a vaccine on those who don't/need it. You support fulll term abortion up to & including Infanticide, don't believe me? Read the full text of what the bills in "blue states" & Kamala's bill allows for....they go far past the original RvW. You think the court system is corrupt against black/brown communities, yet stay quiet on those parents, prolife, maga being jailed for ridiculous jail sentences, being debanked, deplatformed or losing their jobs. When BLM burned cities & looted you said nothing, yet when it happened to progressives in Los Angeles, everyone is suddenly upset....as they should be. On the same LA fires, you give cover to the progressive policies incompetence of California democrats by calling it "climate change".

Oh you think you don't support any of this, whole or in part? Not so fast. Name one Democrat who is vocally against any of it that you'll vote for.

The Democratic Party is the party of contradiction. Racism. Misogyny. Destruction.

You're so wrapped up in the regional threat of Putin/Russia, that you fail to see the global threat of China. BTW, back in the 1980s, Yuri Bezmenov warned of Communist subversion into college campuses & Democrat Liberalism. Sadly, you are part of this. You've been fed a steady diet of Communist propaganda, you don't even realize that you are exactly what you accuse me of. You are controlled by lies, fear & emotions. There are no rational thoughts within you.

However, you'll roll your eyes. Act as if you know better, unwilling to admit you've been duped. Maybe one day you will realize it, or you may very well enjoy keeping your head in the sand, making the conscious decision to live in your bubble, believing the lies.

Name me one Democrat who's on the record speaking out against men who pretend to be women. Or against a parent who gives their child drugs, or removing their genitals because they "believe" to be a gender they'll never be. Against a man in women's sports. Stopping rapists from calling themselves "women" to be put in female prisons, to rape more women. Anyone against a grown man who beats women? Not in Olympics, a dude won gold...didn't he?

You & your fake conservative, Ms Rubin, her ped0phile cartoonist friend will find plenty of people, like you, who hate women & their political opponents so much, they'll look the other way as atrocities happen right in front of you.

Carol-Ann,

I've been reading your comments. You really are locked within an echo chamber of a single focus of complete mind control. The masters of persuasion have really snowed you and it's not completely your fault. You and I were taught that journalists were supposed to be the ones always striving to uncover the truth and presenting that truth to the population... and that used to be the case... right up until they killed JFK. Then everything changed to using journalists and daily media propaganda to sell lies to a public who they knew were trained to believe it. They have worked tirelessly to subvert the truth and keep your mind a slave to their propaganda. This cabal consists of multi-national corporations & the the super multi generational wealthy. They stay in power and prosper off of all of our hard work coercing us into buying what they sell us. They set policy in the USA since JFK was killed and we have been their military apparatus used to hit anywhere across the globe that doesn't play by their rules. Many people are waking up. I hope you do. It is a hard awakening and it will cause you some difficulty accepting it. But truly you have been have been lied to. And yes Jennifer Rubin is one of them. She is "leaving" to retain her flock and continue the mind control... nothing else. If she is not part of the cabal or paid by them, she makes a living doing their bidding in some capacity either knowingly or ignorantly - neither of which is good. Regardless, please try to open your mind - just a little and think openly and critically of all the things you believe.

If you do awaken, do not feel like you were a fool, this propaganda and how it was delivered to all of us was all thoroughly tested and designed to gain control over even the smartest of people. Have a nice day!

That and Kamala Harris was/is the worst candidate you could've picked, besides Tim Walz. That guy is just plain creepy.

@Concerned Citizen If being conservative means pledging fealty to Trump, rejecting facts and entertaining conspiracies, then yes, she’s a fake conservative.

Expand full comment

You obviously have a misunderstanding of "fealty". I challenge you to go to any progressive Liberal gathering, tell them there are only two genders. Men cannot have babies. Climate change is a hoax & masks don't work. Tell them you are prolife. The 2A must be protected at all costs & cops aren't hunting young, unarmed black men.

See how long before they kick you out of the cult. Because progressive Liberalism is a cult

Expand full comment

Well, there you may be right.

I don't usually hang around delusional people who don't believe in climate change and think that masks don't work.

I no longer associate with people who claim to be "pro-life" but don't care about school shootings or women dying from sepsis.

I also don't associate with flat earthers or people who think they can buy a certificate and become a "sovereign citizen."

You obviously can't recognize reality so good luck to you.

I'm guessing your reintroduction to reality is going to be painful. Hope you don't lose everything to mango baby.

Expand full comment

Not much for originality, are you? Sovereign citizens are usually law breakers, & many, like Antifa/BLM, are cop killers & tax evaders...I pay my taxes. Those that die from sepsis, are usually from complications from the abortion pills & nothing to do with being "forced" to carry a dead fetus, I urge you to do your homework & read that family's lawsuit.

Reality is not living in a bubble. A bubble that you clearly live in, but still refuse to see. The science is & was very clear on masking. If you're foolish enough to actually believe they worked, & actually believe no harm to the development of toddlers/children. Distracted children in school. What kind of sad & pathetic person is so terrified that you push your fears on young healthy children & adults....scratch a liberal, find a facist. You felt a little power & it went to your head.

Or even took the time to talk to Gen Z, you would've realized how the obsession with covid masking, the years of schooling stolen, proms, homecomings, friends, isolation mostly by progressive nannys, octogenarians & childless hippies, you would've seen how angry the 18- 30yr olds are. Moderates & independents.

It's because of unhinged snobs like you. Know it alls, who live in an elitist bubble & believe Ms Rubin "speaks truth", thou your too ignorant to understand you're seeking out those to confirm your bias'.

But your world is getting smaller. People are tired of the incessant whining. Petulant child of the 60s or their offspring that can't handle someone who doesn't agree with them. That's when the insults, cliches & tiresome accusations come out.

It's going to be a very long 4yrs for you.

And those are the ones we know about.

ONE OF THESE is about the death of Amber Thurman -- who could have been saved if doctors had done a d&c immediately.

But men like you who couldn't name the parts of a woman's body without a cheat sheet decided you know more than doctors.

As for masking, please make sure to tell your surgeon the surgical team doesn't need masks or gloves because you know for a fact they don't work.

The only good thing about your idiocy is that if you actually follow through you're taking yourself out of the population.

I am amused that you start by complaining I'm not original enough and end with repeating the same nonsense every other trumper spews out.

Childless hippies?

🙄

Do you have kids? Do any of them speak to you?

The good news is you put the idiot back in charge and we have bird flu. So let's see how many Americans he kills this time.

Let's see how many school shootings you ignore.

Gen Z is about to get a crash course on why you must always vote and never vote for Republicans.

So. . . exact same comment to two of us who disagreed with John. Newly created account. No other reads.

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have a sock puppet!

Expand full comment

Yes, that's true. I read both you and Carrol-Ann's posts and I though I could try to help you both, just as a friend helped me years ago. He told me that three buildings in New York City had been attacked on 911 not 2. That 3 buildings were destroyed not 2. He told me that Bush and Cheyney were fully aware of it in advance of it happening. He told me that Building 7 housed all the sensitive financial information involving the US, and the global elites. So they dropped it in a pre-arranged controlled demolition on 911 after the planes hit the twin towers. Look it up - enlighten yourself. Read all about building 7 - never hit by a plane and the first steel constructed building in history to ever come down in a fire. There are eye-witnesses who were in building 7 when they heard the charges / explosives go off - some managed to get out before it dropped. Watch the videos of them telling what they saw & heard. I was a full Bush Cheyney supporter. But the more I learned, the more I woke up, realizing I was duped. The multinational corporations and world elites needed to go into the Middle East because Sandam Husain was not playing by the rules and was organizing to persuade other countries to control and limit the World Elite's oil markets. That's why Saddam initially went into Kuwait and Bush Sr. went in and stopped it. That only postponed the war. Saddam wasn't going to stop. 911 was needed to sell to the American public to allow America's military to be used to take out Saddam - who had no weapons of mass destruction but we were all sold the idea that he did. Bin Laden was a Patsy trained by the CIA and used to pull off the 911 disaster. They took him out too - evidence expunged.

It was a hard pill for me to swallow - I was a die hard republican bush supporter. After thoroughly diving into everything I could find, and realizing that both parties are absolutely controlled and managed by the multinationals and global elites, I switched to independent. Please wake up. Please try to think critically again. The mainstream news on network TV and major print news organizations are all owned or controlled financially or through other means by the global cabal. The people you think you can trust - you can't. They need numbers - eyeballs to perpetuate their persuasion and keep the game going in their favor. Ms. Rubin is too. Many people are waking up right now. Of course you are free to believe whatever you want - this is America, but know that in the grand scheme of things America is expendable to the multinationals - they can live anywhere they want. You and I - we can't and I love my country and want it back - back to freedom and constitutional rule.

There you have it - I'm no sock puppet - no bot. Just an Independent American who loves his country.
