Part dystopian sci-fi, part documentary, this is one hard-to-sit-through film. But it's essential for resisters, IMHO. It's on MAX now. ***HIGHLY recommended.***

Wow! As Jackie commented — “ They’re selling our dystopia to us to distract us from the dystopia we live in!”

Destroying the hope & belief of ‘truth’ existing in any form … sounds like the current admin./Fox et al.

I borrowed the DVD from my public library and played on my laptop. No subscriptions to anything needed.

Why did I not read anywhere that Conclave is a dark comedy?! I watched it last night: the production is hilarious and the acting is slyly superb. I laughed at the monumental hubris and silly, petty narcissism all the way through, especially when a woman is let in via the back door of the ultimate calcified, vicious patriarchy. Of course that’s the only way women ever get into the rooms of misogynist male power — through the secret back door or the basement — but this was particularly delicious for its unwitting complicity of the ridiculous men in fancy medieval dresses! Clearly the cast and crew got it.

I love this take. "Sly" is a great word for it. Everyone is petty and egotistical.

Sorry, I cancelled Prime when Bezos cancelled the independence of the WaPo. Won’t be going back till he’s dead, and he could easily outlive me.
