Important points. I still don’t understand why this message didn’t resonate with Blacks and Latinos, another group suffering mightily at the hands of Trump, before the election. He picked up votes, particularly among minority men, obviously uninformed about Project 2025. Lots of voters abandoned Kamala Harris, who would have continued sane, measured policies that would have not been chaotic. Our current situation is the American voters’ fault, either through being uninformed or uninterested.

Too lax. We're still too comfortable. Alligator Auschwitz! Neo-sharecropping! ICE raids in communities of color! Kidnapping and disappearing people to only God knows where! ... We're still too divided amongst ourselves and we need to get over it. I've been posting and waiting for the Black community to wake up, organize, and fight. Almost everyone within the community that I've tried to talk to has been a tRump supporter. We don't have time to tolerate sleepwalking. We need to get to work! Formulate ways to protect ourselves. Create food banks. Community gardens. Education reform with an emphasis on apprenticeships and home-grown innovation. Collaboration with other communities, no matter the nationality or race. Our own science projects that build and/or rebuild our communities, addressing homelessness and stifling isolationism. I advocate an atmosphere of inclusivity!!!! Health care strategies, physical and mental. ... God helps those who help themselves!!!

Bishop, you entirely correct mobilization must, and can, happen. Please look outside your religious sphere to the other community based organizations who are screaming into the void about inclusion in this fight. There are allies everywhere who are begging for participation with the black community. We are on your side, and know we don't know your personal experiences, but will stand with you, beside you and follow you in this struggle.

Knowing history, this is an uphill struggle, but all of us who oppose this regime must unite to defeat this ideology of division and hatred.

I appreciated seeing the reference to a mass moral movement. Everyone who can do so in terms of time, talent or money should support the Poor People's Campaign.

Exactly this!!

I also agree that asking for money should come with proof you are actually doing what you say you will do. Pictures! Scheduled events! Results of your efforts - i.e. how many new voters enrolled. How many candidates in prior uncontested races? How many feet on the ground doing what?
