It's biogtry. And the dumbing down of and loss of innovation in America.

The Trump regime wants to dumb us down. This is how autocrats work.

Maybe he wants us to be as dumb as he is.

I’ve been thinking for awhile that the idiocy and sadism were a result of some brain malfunction relating to his advancing age, but it’s becoming more clear over time that his cruelty and need to put people down is a personality trait, it’s what gives him pleasure. He truly is a sick man. Pathetic.

The orange turd is too stupid to think up this sadism and orchestrate it. It is the collection of ghouls and moron monsters put together by Uncle Thomas’s wife and the rest of the Opus Dei like Amy in a coma barrette, Leonardo Leotardo, Ronald the clown Reagan, Richard the first crook Nixon, boy howdy bush, newt the frog Gingrich, flyin’ high upside down because I’m underground Alito, and Moscow Mitch. And partly the rest of us because we treated these people like respectable humans when they were lying, hateful, cheating, swindling monsters who hate each other and are too ugly for a horror movie.

It seems to be a combination of the two. He is obviously in cognitive decline and as a narcissist, he now expresses his bad mannerisms and attitudes without qualms.

I would love future world leaders forced to be in the Oval Office Show to wear some "message" on their lapels, a la Jill Wine Banks' pins. Just some subtle item that lets us see their FU to FOTUS and his stooges.

First, the human context; there are six thousand, eight hundred (6,800) foreign students whose careers and lives are at stake.

Savy Judge ALLISON BURROUGHS did not merely grant a "TRO". The Judge had made specific findings on the record of BOTH "substantial & irreparable harm".

The "Status" hearing is coming up quickly 5/27/25 but,I believe the Court's file will be stuffed with student declarations under oath for the 5/29/25 Preliminary Hearing.

If anyone downloads any of the supporting declarations, please post. Thank you.

SPOILER ALERT:

"The preliminary Injunction is GRANTED". /AB/

How about tying this to the provision in the OBB which attacks the courts’ ability to enforce their orders??

Expand full comment
Mariam's avatar

Absolutely! That provision is not being brought to light enough. It is a frightening precedent, to say the least!

Janet's avatar

This is the provision that is the most terrifying to me. If it sneaks through, it will defeat the judiciary, as will the Supreme Court which, I fear, will overturn lower courts rulings. That legacy/corporate media turns a blind eye to this only enables the corruption to grow and continue.

Who, other than Trump himself and his wannabees enjoys his 'displays of dominance'? Someone who enjoys dominating others, especially if it causes them pain and suffering is called a sadist. Trump certainly qualifies, as he appears to view most people as 'suckers' and 'losers', sexually assaults women in ways certain to humiliate them (the point) and is now sticking his grifting, cheating and titanic disregard for the law into all of our faces. Displays of dominance, my a**. Let's call them what they are: pure, unmitigated evil.

Here is a good description of the (not-so-) hidden time bomb in the BBB ("Big Bucket of Bull-shite") reconciliation bill recently passed by the House ---

https://www.justsecurity.org/113529/terrible-idea-contempt-court/

My, non-lawyer, understanding is that this would eliminate perhaps the only remaining means of the Courts enforcing their orders against the tRump regimes cast of scoundrels, sycophants and psychos (nice alliteration, ehh?).

One thing to do is pressure your Senators to stand against this and many other provisions of the BBB. A quick way to get this to your Congress persons is a Resistbot petition specifically mentioning this -- "SIGN PQQFHG" {text message to 50409}

Made deliberately long a) to ensure it covers everything the authors envisage and b) to ensure very few people will bother to read it, digest it or take it seriously until it's too late.*

Trump is just the distraction to divert the media and public and we are fast closing in on the end of the first 180 days of the presidency. Day 181 is theoretically too late.*

And this clause from the big beautiful bill will ensure that the courts are powerless to stop Trump or Project 2025:

"No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued"

which really means this: "no federal court in the USA may enforce a contempt action, and that's because they would need to use federal funds to do that, and they're being denied the right to use funds for that purpose." I keep hearing and reading the references to the 2026 elections. With the cruelty, corruption and lawlessness of this regime, does anyone believe they will happen? By that time, we’ll be so deep into fascism it doesn’t seem possible. Think Hungary during the past several years…

Is there a possibility that Trump will maintain the military presence in Washington folowing the June 14th "parade"? They seem to want to have some pretty heavy equipment in the line-up.
