One of the things I admire about Contrarian readers is that they’re not just instinctively oppositional—they’re intellectually oppositional. They want to see how the sausage is made, not just shout about the smell. That’s the kind of scrutiny our institutions need more of.

Many thanks to retired CIA executive O'Neill for helping us understand the process and "tradecraft" behind the creation of intelligence reports and assessments. Liked that the comparison to daily briefing reports highlights the use made by serious people of these reports - best available information delivered in a time frame to be useful. So always with caveats.

But... not sure I'd say this is a win for T regime. Sure, validation for those who believed in the "Russian Hoax" and that the 2020 election was stolen. And the win could go beyond core MAGA if Main Stream Media do their usual wishy washy reporting. But those in Congress who were part of a review of the initial Obama assessment know better even if they choose to lie now.

Importantly, however, Contrarian readers, thanks to you, will see this as yet another example of regime's perversion and weaponization of government. Just strengthens our opposition.
