Venezuela has captured a group of alleged mercenaries with ties to the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and accused Washington and Trinidad and Tobago of coordinating military exercises intended to provoke an armed confrontation in the Caribbean.
How about some attention to the 200,000 Midwest farmers who have filed for bankruptcy since Trump 2 arrived? How about the Tether shortfall and the Trump bailout of Argentina are related to Trump's crytocurrency holdings?
Great interview with Anderson Clayton and the status of North Carolina gerrymandering and how the shutdown is harming that state and others in the south. We feel their pain here in Alabama as well. Crossing my fingers for good election results there. I have cousins in the western part of NC and they are farmers.
It would seem that “bulldozing the East Wing,” is a perfect metaphor for the demolition of an imperfect democracy that had evolved over the past 249 years. Is it possible for what seems to be a “lukewarm opposition party” to grow some chops and offer up a survivable future for everyone who invests forty-plus hours, per week, of their souls to live in a Country that has their backs? TIME FOR ROCKSTARS BORN AFTER 1980 TO ABANDON THEIR SCREENS AND RECAPTURE EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN LOST AND PUT THIS TRUMP (CLOWN) TRAIN BACK ON THE RAILS AND REACHING THEIR DESTINATIONS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! LET FREEDOM RING!!
It seems to me that, with the shutdown and with stopping food stamps, Trump is TRYING TO PROVOKE enough unrest and even violence in our home states . . . . why would he do that?
Perhaps because he WANTS to bring in the U.S. military and declare martial law so we cannot have elections that he knows he will lose. Here are the New York Times headlines just moments ago:
BREAKING NEWS/Haiyun Jiang/The New York Times
Dozens of States Sue Trump Administration Over Planned Food Stamp Cuts
The states petitioned a federal court days after the Agriculture Department said it would not take emergency steps to provide aid to roughly 42 million people during the government shutdown.
AND
President Trump said he was prepared to send “more than the National Guard” into U.S. cities.
I harken back to a comment attributed to Steve Bannon. “Democrats fight with pillows, we (Republicans) go for the head shot!” Relying on the Courts while staring down a Cat D-10! Not smart.
CK, my gut instinct is that this is a “trial balloon” for a 2025 version of the Civil War; Republicans vs. non-whites, Democrats and anti-Trump factions. I am reminded of Abraham Lincoln’s words that this Country could fail from within. I believe bulldozing the East Wing could be considered the “First Shot?!”

Ask those farmers who they voted for—go on, ask.
I grew up on a farm, dirt in my lungs and calluses older than some of your congressmen.
My heart still breaks for them, it does—
but if they voted for him because they didn’t like brown hands in their fields,
then I want to know how it feels watching a bloated white grifter steal the land right out from under them.
He didn’t take their jobs, honey.
He took their future—
and sold it off by the acre.
Sold it off to a weasel like JD Vance and his financing company that provides "loans" to debt-strapped farmers. Funny how this has happened...
Thanks for the reminder- we donated a little $ to our local food bank. Wish it could be more.
A GLANCE INTO THE FUTURE*
I met a D.C. workman walking through a tract of rubble
Twixt the Treasury and the White House with little trouble.
He said that "These vast stumps of gold and stone
Are all that remain after their patron dismounted his throne."
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies,
Whose megalomania left him paralyzed,
And whose ego, that dwarfed his brain,
Left him disgraced and hopelessly insane.
Among this vast stretch of junk and debris, this is all that remains
Of his belligerent, corrupt and degenerate reign.
But on the largest stump these words appear:
"My name is Donald J. Trump, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare.
Slime, sleaze and sludge are left to fill the vacancy
As a monument to remind us of the evils of tyranny.

Eldon: When I see ICE I am reminded of those white men on horseback in the South chasing slaves with clubs and selling them back to their owners.
