It's horrifying to learn he liked the Tiananmen put down. But not surprising. I continue to put the blame on those who elected him and on the politicians who continue to enable him. Without those enablers, he would be what he should be, NOTHING. I watched Alex Padilla not only being hoisted out of the conference room but then, when he was no longer in there, the Noem enablers threw him on the ground and handcuffed him. I hope he sues the entire DHS, Noem and those 3 who manhandled him.
“Without those enablers, he would be what he should be, NOTHING.”
In an alternate reality, Trump would have lived out his wretched life as a low-level public nuisance, laundering money for oligarchs and mobsters, bribing public officials, evading taxes, abusing women, bullying and cheating defenseless laborers and contractors with the power of his wealth, and parading his ostentatious bad taste in the media.
The worst—the very worst—thing that could have happened to such a malignant personality was to hand him the prodigious powers of the U. S. presidency with which to do further mischief. The results are predictable and gruesome. We will be paying the price for this egregious blunder long after (if ever) he is gone.
Since January, I have watched the Loser formulate crises for which only he can be the savior. And I, too, concluded that he can't juggle all the exploding balls all the time for long. So, let's see which is the one to blow up in his face. Or, as Rick Wilson said yesterday, let's see what happens when he, very soon, croaks from a predictable health collapse. Because, his minions? Nobody voted for them.
Just as we need to march in numbers of No Kings Day and on many other days, we need to flood the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and the Chicago Tribune with letters demanding that their reporters grow up, stop gawking at the shining object, and present a full-spectrum account of the events which they are witnessing. Likewise, the editors should stop showing the few sensationalist shots of violence as if they are typical. In short, they need to stop practicing yellow journalism.
All this flash bang crowd control is like a protein shake for our President. He thrives with controversy, drama, and false or made up crowds, and now crowd control. Doesn't he see that it makes him actually look weak? That bringing in heat seeking missiles when a hammer will do is not an actual sign of strength? He should study more closely Dwight Eisenhower and what he said and did. And be man enough to avoid military parades that he is ginning up in his own glorification. He's behaving more and more like Kim Jung Un. And Mike Johnson, Bondi, and Hegseth are all-in.
The only thing trump has ever studied seriously and long term is his face, in a mirror, a reflection in a window or in a chrome bumper on a car. He possesses no attention span for anything more challenging.
How in the world did fascist party members ever produce any children without having any balls? They are all afraid of an overweight 70-year-old, who will pop all of his fuses, if Alzheimer's hasn't already started to set in, like his dear daddy.
The real lesson of Tiananmen Square was the brave Chinese man who stood up for democracy against the tyranny of the Communist Party in front of the tanks they sent in with the military to crush the protests ruthlessly. That is the photo that symbolizes the human need to stand up for human rights and a democracy that provides them. Let's hope there will be an equally courageous, patriotic American who steps out in front of the tanks that tyrant Trump has mobilized to show military fealty to him as a birthday present in the capital of democracy.

...sues and have Noem forced to sit down with Padilla in a public venue and answer his questions (with fact checkers there).

Fortunately he is old and has poor health habits in addition to being obese. We can only hope nature takes its course quickly.
Not that JD Vance would be any better and might be much more dangerous.
His attitude is: Democracy is done

Trump, study? You have got to be kidding.

79-year-old. Sorry.
Thank you smiley John, head of the supreme cabal, for enabling the overthrow of our country.
Cheering and admiring Chinese leaders for massacring and imprisoning thousands of their citizens for protesting at Tiananmen Square!
Will there ever be a last story about how soulless, how despicable this man is?
O.M.G. First I've heard this one. I'm with Irena on this one.
